The structure consists of four 6" x 5.5" bird houses stacked upon one another, while painted in an arrangement to mimic the stars and stripes, alternating between red and white and being topped with blue. This top, blue house is adorned with metal star ornaments painted white on either side of the pitched roof, completing the homage to the nation's flag. Additional decoration comes with the natural vine winding around the entire structure from bottom to top, which is affixed to each house along the way by metal staples. Each of the four houses has a 1.5" diameter entrance with a masonry nail protruding beneath it roughly 0.75" from the wall, acting as a perch, and the backside of each house has a diamond-shaped panel affixed to the home by a single screw and can be removed for routine cleanings. The top of the structure has a metal wire loop affixed to it for straightforward hanging, while it can also be mounted atop a post with an appropriate mounting plate (not included) or placed on a level surface for an easy but admirable decoration.
